Independent Living Service – Brisbane

The Independent Living Service (ILS) – Brisbane supports people to move out of RFQ’s Eliza Street Community program into independent community living in the wider Brisbane metropolitan area. The program has assisted many people to establish and live in their own home and to access and develop a variety of activities, connections and resources within their community while providing ongoing personalised support. The ILS - Brisbane is for adults 18 years and over who need further support following their participation in the Eliza Street Community program and as they transition to community living.

Independent Living Services – Bayside, Logan-Beaudesert & West Moreton

The Independent Living Services - Bayside, Logan-Beaudesert and West Moreton are short term psychosocial rehabilitation programs and were established in 2007 through new Queensland Health funding. Although each service has developed its own character, they all operate in partnership with their local Mental Health Services to support people in the further development of their independent living skills and social supports.

Independent Living Service – Toowoomba

The Independent Living Service (ILS) Toowoomba is a short-term rehabilitation program that assists individuals in developing goal setting and living skills that can be implemented into their everyday life.

Through both small group and one-on-one sessions, participants explore identity and values in establishing a meaningful, personalised goal as part of the process.
The program aims to foster an environment where experiential learning and peer support combine to assist development and awareness of self-esteem and social interaction, allowing individuals to gain a sense of ownership of their direction in life.
