About the program

The Crisis Support Space, known as the Emu café offers people a range of resources and support. Using an integrated model of care and support it is delivered with a combination of recovery mentors and mental health clinicians. The program complements existing mental health, alcohol and other drugs services across the West Moreton Hospital and Health Service (HHS).

In partnership with Queensland Health and the West Moreton HHS, the Crisis Support Space provides a space to relieve psychological distress and recurrence of crises ,and reduce acute admissions. The space is part of a state-wide crisis system reform strategy, aimed at preventing suicide
